About the artwork

A Celebration of Resilience and Hope: Commemorating 20 Years of Advocacy

This vibrant mural, commissioned as part of Wellspring Living’s 20th Anniversary Mural Series, honors two decades of dedication to combating human trafficking in Atlanta. Created by renowned artist Ashley Bella, the piece stands as a powerful testament to the resilience of survivors and the community’s unwavering commitment to justice.

Ashley shares, “It’s pretty heavy to know that I’m the first artist to ever paint on the King Center building. As an Atlanta native and a social entrepreneur who cares deeply about my community, this opportunity means everything. I don’t take what I’m doing lightly.”

Drawing from her personal experiences working with the survivors, Ashley has used her art to amplify their often-silenced voices. While respecting their privacy, she channels their stories into her murals, creating a bridge between awareness and action. She reflects, “The work I did as an advocate in the anti-trafficking movement was hard, because most of the time I couldn’t even talk to my family and friends about what the women were going through, or about my experiences working with them in different safe houses and recovery homes.”

Now as the founder of her own company, Ashley has the freedom to champion this vital cause, using her art as a powerful tool to inspire empathy and drive change.

Bring this meaningful piece into your space and join the movement to raise awareness and support survivors. Every purchase supports the fight against human trafficking and celebrates the power of art to transform lives.
