How CoMission Works
Importing the work
We upload a high-resolution digital image of the artwork onto CoMission’s proprietary platform, and convert it to unique Digital Art Blocks (DABs), which are then listed for sale on the CoMission marketplace.
Beautiful pieces of the whole, made available for purchase
With the purchase of a DAB, you acquire a fixed-period membership in the artwork. This allows you to enjoy the complete artwork, and the individual piece you choose as your DAB is your unique membership card, personalized with your details.
Connecting with your artwork
In collaboration with the museum or artist, we curate a selection of exclusive features for each artwork. Some provide digital access that offers unique and personal connections to the piece, while others deliver intimate and exclusive interactions with the artist or museum.
Congrats, you’re supporting your cause
Each DAB purchased is a charitable donation and tax deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law.
Let’s protect our cultural heritage
We believe great art should always be available to the public, and not sold in to private collections — that is why CoMission collectors acquire a membership in each piece. These DABs and their associated memberships are not intended for resale by the collector, and don’t include any legal ownership to the artwork or the copyright, ensuring that the art can be appreciated by the public for years to come.
Experience v Investment
Unlike other companies that are commoditizing art as just another asset class for investment, CoMission is focused on enhancing the experience of art, the education, and the discourse, and providing much needed funding for the causes impacting our world.
We’re using the amazing artworks in our collection to create community, a shared love of art, and greater public access to the work.
This is how we democratize access to these great works, with the purchase of a DAB being a fraction of the cost to acquire them, giving you all the fun and access without the costs of ownership.
