Finally Free

This stunning mural, commissioned by Delta Air Lines, adorns the walls of their World Headquarters in Atlanta, GA, as part of Wellspring Living’s 20th Anniversary Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign. The campaign was a collaborative, multi-site initiative featuring unique murals across Metro Atlanta, each depicting communities coming together to support the transformation of sex trafficking survivors’ lives.

Reflecting on her work, artist Ashley Bella shared, “As an ex-social worker, I worked with over 400 survivors, and heard over 400 unique stories. I have had the opportunity to see them go from being victims to finding freedom as survivors, and I painted this in their honor.”

Delta’s commitment to this cause is echoed by Allison Ausband, E.V.P. and Chief Customer Experience Officer, and leader of Delta’s Anti-Human Trafficking Executive Steering Committee: “This mural not only commemorates our important partnership with Wellspring Living but also serves as a constant reminder of Delta's fight to end human trafficking. Wellspring Living's work to help survivors recover and get back on their feet is so important and I think everyone will be inspired and challenged to keep fighting this fight when they see it.”

Susan Santos, Project Leader in Delta’s Technical Operations, adds, “These murals don't just serve as a painting that you pass by. They serve as a reminder of someone's life that you can be saving, someone's life that was taken and someone's life that's still fighting.”
